Shares of Reliance Power surged by 9% in the early morning trade after the company reported its Q3 numbers. Net profit came at ₹41.95 crore against a loss of ₹1136.75 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
While the stock zoomed past 9.52% to ₹43.69, compared to previous day’s closing of ₹39.89, market cap of the company stood at ₹17,252 crore. Close to 42.76 lakh shares changed hands totalling to a turnover of ₹18.17 crore on BSE.
Total income came at ₹2,159.44 crore in the December quarter, compared to ₹1,998.79 crore in the year-ago period. Expenses came down at ₹2,109.56 crore in Q3 against ₹3,167.49 crore in the previous quarter a year ago.
As of Q3FY25, networth came at ₹16,217 crore, said the company in an exchange filing. EBITDA stood at ₹492 crore. Notably, the company doesn't have any outstanding balance towards any banking institutions.
